Update: Away Tickets – News

We have provided an important update regarding the away ticket arrangements for 2024-25 and beyond.

Recognizing that remote locations are now approaching capacity or regularly selling out, and as it is impossible for us to implement a fair and robust loyalty points system until 2025-26, we recently invited backers complete a survey to help guide our decision on how to allocate priority ticket access next season.

The following options were presented:

  1. Introduce a 2024-25 away membership which would give fans the chance to secure themselves priority ticket access to all regular league matches away from home
  2. Continue with the current system where all season ticket holders are given the opportunity to purchase one ticket each before the general sale.

More than 1,700 supporters completed the survey, with a majority (62%) stating their preference for option 2. This percentage increased to 67% when only responses from 2024-25 season ticket holders were considered.

We will therefore continue to implement option 2 in 2024-25, while we continue to prepare to introduce the loyalty points system in 2025-26 – full details of which will follow in due course.

As we begin to move towards this change in approach, we strongly advise all supporters to familiarize themselves with the following guidelines in order to ensure that their 2024-25 overseas purchase history is accurately recorded.

How to collect loyalty points in 2024-25

Online

  • Individual bookers will have their purchase history automatically applied to their account each time they purchase a ticket
  • Supporters booking on behalf of others must add each supporter in their network and assign the relevant supporter number to each ticket at the point of purchase
    • If these steps are not followed, those whose supporter numbers are not assigned to a ticket will lose their purchase history record

From our ticket office (in person or by phone)

  • Individual bookers will be able to provide their support number and apply their purchase history to their account at the point of purchase
  • Those booking on behalf of others must provide support numbers for each member of their party at the point of purchase
    • If these steps are not followed, those whose supporter numbers are not assigned to a ticket will lose their purchase history record
    • If one or more members of the group do not have a ticket account and therefore no supporter number, the lead booker must provide their name, address and relevant date of birth in order to record that individual’s purchase history.

From the host club

  • We intend to exclusively handle all ticket sales next season
  • However, in the event that any sales are handled by the host club, we will not be able to share any purchase history on the supporter’s account

Other key points

  • No booking fee will apply to away ticket orders in 2024-2025 – making online the cheapest and easiest way to buy away tickets and record your purchase history
  • Prime bookers cannot accumulate more than one loyalty point per match
    • For example, a supporter who purchases multiple tickets for a match without assigning individual supporter numbers to the remaining tickets cannot claim the equivalent number of loyalty points to the number of tickets purchased.
  • Purchase history can only be recorded at the time of booking
    • We will not be able to allocate loyalty points retrospectively after the transaction has been completed
  • Comprehensive details about the loyalty points system will follow in due course
